A Strata stoush resulting in more than $1m in legal fees
This is a very interesting article about a Council of Owners who made decisions for the scheme which included not accepting proxy votes, not proceeding with maintenance and preventing the appointment of a Compulsory Strata Manager.
These decisions resulted in legal action which has now cost owners more than $1m in fees. A compulsory Strata Manager has been appointed for a 2-year term and is instructed to get the works completed. This has resulted in a very large levy increase for owners, which is a separate story.
